The sound quality created within Synthesia was quite good and the best out there, while it was quite easy to change instrument's pitch by holding on one's finger on the touch surface of the iOS device. The developers also worked hard to add external MIDI signals in various synthesizer presets to also change the sound. That being said, the synthesizer was very cool and had a nice GUI that made it even easier to control. When you performed a parameter change, the synthesizer automatically output the new sound, even if you switched to the next preset. Pretty neat, right? You can see the app's sound engine in action below.
After a single use, an app icon is added to your device's Home screen, whether iOS or Android. Sound quality remained great, the touch-booth intuitive to use and it quite easy to change parameters. I was able to use this app on both my iPhone and iPad device to play and record, with ease. I also enjoyed the synthesizer's changing sound, which imitated the classical style. Since it was possible to switch from preset A to preset B by using the shortcut on the keyboard, this was really helpful. It was a good idea for the app to have a built-in MPE MIDI foot pedal, so that you can control the music via the device's MIDI interface (few apps like that). If you have a MIDI keyboard, then it could be very useful to be able to attach to it in order to control the notes. Tune-o-graphs, pitch bend, volume and other parameters are simply not part of this app's capabilities, but that is not uncommon for popular sound apps. So, Synthesia does not do either. Synthesia is no longer support Apple iOS 10.2 and above. Sorry, its useless now. d2c66b5586
