The Watch has been getting a fair few negative reviews. Yeah, sure, it's no cinematic masterpiece, but I don't think it's meant to be. It's a comedy full of amusing conversations. There aren't really that many punchlines which will have your sides splitting, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have a certain charm.Ben Stiller leads a neighbourhood watch team that accidentally stumbles across an alien plot to take over the world. Yes, it's as silly as it sounds. Yes, there are plenty of unbelievable moments and yes, there are plenty of plot holes. But, there's also so much right with this film, that I think, if you try, you should be able to gloss over any misgivings you may have for this and enjoy it for what it is.It's the perfect movie to sit down and relax your brain. Let the silly men entertain you and snigger at their attempts to save the world. Plus, for all you horror fans out there, the aliens themselves are pretty decent budget with a few gory moments thrown in for added bonus.It's daft, it's smutty, it's silly, but it's also very enjoyable.Kudos to Richard Ayoade for getting his foot into Hollywood's door. Good luck to him - he shows he can hold his own among Hollywood's comedic A-listers.

'The Watch' Synopsis: Four men who form a neighborhood watch group as a way to get out of their day-to-day family routines find themselves defending the Earth from an alien invasion.'The Watch' isn't flawless. It has its share of minuses. But, overall, this first of its kind Sci-Fi Comedy appeals, because it makes you laugh at the right places & the performances are commendable. Talking of minuses, the uneven second-hour acts as a deterrent. Jared Stern, Seth Rogen & Evan Goldberg's Screenplay has merit. However, the second-hour, certainly, could've been more persuasive. Akiva Schaffer's Direction is credible. Cinematography & Editing are mentionable. Graphics are pretty cool. The Aliens are pretty creepy to look at!Performance-Wise: Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn, Jonah Hill & Richard Ayoade are the life of 'The Watch'. Stiller is highly efficient, while Vaughn continues to impress us with his impeccable comic-timing. Hill & Ayoade are equally effective, adding much more to their characters than offered. Also, the on-screen chemistry between the four of them, is interesting. Rosemarie DeWitt does her bit well. Will Forte is sincere.On the whole, 'The Watch' does work, at most parts.

My wife and I decided to watch "Dnevnoy Dozor" on DVD expecting to see a good movie. Unfortunately the producers invested lots of money in the movie, but forgot the most important and used a confused story that makes no sense; indeed we have just watched this film and we did not understand the plot. The storyline seems to be basically that the lead character Anton belongs to the Forces of the Light as well as his powerful girlfriend and apprentice, but his son is a powerful teenager from the Darkness and Anton protects him. When the balance between Light and Darkness is affected by the death of some evil vampires, Anton is framed and accused of the murders, and he chases an ancient chalk that has the power of changing the destiny of its owner. However, the screenplay is a complete mess, and we were completely lost and did not understand the purpose of the story, i.e., what is it about? There are many situations that happen without any explanation, in spite of the fantastic special effects and gorgeous actresses, in a complete waste of a generous budget. Today we (my husband, our 5 year old Yo Kai fan, and myself) attended the Yo-Kai Watch event in Houston, TX! It was not only very entertaining, but hilarious! We adored it! My son immediately wanted it in his hands! The Star Wars references were an added bonus as well. It's not the usual "Yo-Kai Watch" episode for example, when Nate runs into a menacing Yo-Kai and then suddenly he gets their medal. No, this movie was worth the watch, Nate wakes up to the watch missing and must travel back in time to have his grandfather (maker of the Yo-Kai Watch) and together they must defeat all of the wicked Yo-Kai. All in all, I give it a thumbs up. The only thing that bothered me is how Nate received the Model Zero... Because in Season 2 he gets it from the Yo-Kai World, but in the movie Grandpa gives it to him. That really bothered me.our exclusive Hovernyan medals were super cool!

I love this movie! To be honest with you, I don't really like the Yo- Kai Watch show but this movie really is clever. First, the jokes. They can be clever, like Moxismus and the bear or cringeworthy humor like the fart by the old lady. Second, the plot. Even if you don't know the plot of the show, you can still watch it and get it. The plot is that Nate loses his Yo-Kai Watch and needs to get it back by time- traveling. It really does feel like a gripping movie. And the stories about the characters are great. There was a really dark backstory for the villain that I will not mention but it was handled with maturity and I like it. Even if you aren't too interested in the Yo-Kai Watch show, you'll find enjoyment in this movie.
