The ViennaKeys are virtual licenses in the sense that they represent software licenses that are unique to your ViennaKeys and are not shared with other eLicensers or the eLicenser Control Center. Virtual licenses are for example used to license Steinberg Licensing Manager products or VSL products for licensing on ViennaKeys. Virtual licenses can be stored in the eLicenser Control Center so you can see and manage them there.

If you have a full Vienna Series bundle, additional KeyWorx licenses for the Vienna Instruments or the Vienna Instruments Redux are available in the eLicenser Control Center. These licenses are not software licenses, however. They are license tokens that are saved in the KeyWorx software. These license tokens are transferred to the KeyWorx software and can be used to run the Vienna Instruments or the Vienna Instruments Redux on a computer. The KeyWorx software is not part of the Vienna Instruments bundle, however.

The Vienna Instruments and Vienna Instruments Redux are bundles of software for the Vienna Instruments products (e.g., Vienna, Vienna Grand, Vienna VSL, Vienna Instruments, Vienna Instruments Redux).

A virtual license is a software license. Virtual licenses are used to license software applications that are only installed on computers and that do not need to be physically connected to the eLicenser USB protection device (e.g., the ViennaKeys or KeyWorx software). Virtual licenses are also used to license software applications that have licenses that are not stored on a USB-eLicenser (e.g., the Vienna Instruments or Vienna Instruments Redux). Virtual licenses are not physical licenses, however. Virtual licenses cannot be used to license software that is not licensed at all or is not licensed at all on the eLicenser USB protection device. Virtual licenses do not have to be created in the eLicenser Control Center.

In the eLicenser Control Center, you can create virtual licenses for all Vienna Keys that are currently installed on your computer. Virtual licenses don't work with the ViennaKeys, however. Virtual licenses work with the VSL products and are stored on a hard disk. Virtual licenses are also used to license libraries with the KeyWorx software.

eLicenser ES1 comes with a handy USB-eLicenser software (ES1), which allows you to create a USB-eLicenser key pair. The software is basically a stand-alone tool that can be run on any computer. You only need a standard USB keyboard for the software to work and a computer where you want to use the ES1. Besides, you need a copy of the eLicenser firmware for ES1 and the USB-eLicenser dongle to do its job. The ES1 software can be downloaded for free for 30 days.

eLicenser ES1 can detect multiple USB-eLicenser keys on your computer. If you have more than one dongle on the computer, you can add more USB-eLicenser keys. You can add up to 30 keys to the same software. After that, you can use the software to send and decrypt your keys remotely or to create a new key pair. 827ec27edc
